Questions You Should Stop Asking

Taking off from this article (http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-questions-that-need-to-be-banned-from-casual-conversation/) I was surprised the USUAL QUESTIONS Everyone agrees shouldn't be asked...are not here...I am opting to write my own article to list them down :-D

1.  Why are you still single?

If you get asked this question you instantly want to KILL the person who asked.  In your mind "if only I knew why I wouldn't be!"  It's like saying...what is wrong w/ you???

2.  Bakit hindi pa kayo magpakasal?

If I were the man I would've proposed decades ago but since I'm the woman obviously I am ONLY WAITING.  Don't make it sound like I don't want to get married.  WE ALL KNOW I do...

3.  Bakit wala pa kayong anak?

This is extremely sensitive.  What if the couple has been trying so hard to get pregnant.  Worse, what if they already lost a pregnancy.  People, especially the elders...have some compassion!

Ok I guess these are all the DREADED questions of everyone who's ever been in such situations.  So I suggest if you can't think of anything to say try your best to STILL AVOID asking these questions...you don't know how much misery/desperation/depression/conflict you could be causing afterwards...

Go Demi Moore!!! ;)

I don't know why everyone's taking a jab at Demi Moore.  Or is it just the media outlets?  But why?  Why are they judging her for being desperate...if she is at all?  She is an older woman.  Much older than me & my friends and that is why I pity her.  It's like I know exactly how she feels.  Getting dumped by a much younger man.  Getting replaced.  Hello?  Women?  Don't you feel bad if you get dumped?  Don't you feel bad when you get replaced even if she turns out to be much less on the looks department?  How much worse could she feel that she is in the public eye & everyone's judging her in the process?  And having an ex-husband who seems to be ideal & also happily married as well???  Don't you understand?  Haven't you ever been desperate & alone?  I am sure ALL of you have been so why gang up on Demi???  I really don't understand all the hate.  All the news about her doesn't seem to match how she looks anyway...she's still hot!  So what if she enjoys herself in a party & dances???  And why is the tv media only showing pix of her where Lenny Kravitz wasn't minding her.  When you go to the net you will see multiple pictures which show Lenny was also into her.  And why say she was dumped by this younger guy when they weren't a couple anyway?  I really don't understand all the hate.  Can't you women writers/authors relate?  How would you have cope if you were in her situation & at her age???  I think she's doing just fine given the situation, pretty soon she will get over Ashton & grab a much hotter guy...you go Demi!  You're still much hotter than ALL your detractors!

5 of your most treasured possessions

  • 5 of your most treasured possessions.

  • 1.  Hmmm, this is really hard, well it didn't say material things...ok...then...my bf

Ok my bf is my treasured possession because he's mine hahaha!  Because I think he's a catch.  First of all he's a doctor & people think that is a catch.  I honestly don't mind it before when people mention things like...oh her bf is a doctor...oh there's a doctor who courted me, etc..  I didn't really care since I'm the 'I don't care' type of person anyway :)  But now that I have a bf who is a doctor people do REACT when they find out he's a doctor.  And when people ask me about my bf another friend would you usually say 'oh her bf is a doctor blah blah blah.'  But why is he a treasured possession of mine?  I guess coz personally I think he's a catch.  Because I'm old, I'm already 32 & still single.  Because he's about my age.  Because I like him a lot.  Because he's so nice.  Because he's responsible.  Because he's someone I can be proud of.

    2.  Another treasured possession?  That is hard...maybe my job

I consider my job as a treasured possession because I can say that I earn a lot.  A lot more than I need, at least for now, because I am still single.  Earning at least 100k net a month is not bad.  I definitely treasure it.  At least just because of the money, to be honest, bwahaha!

    3.  Another treasured possession?  Hmmmm, my family?

I don't know, at least I have a family.  That in itself I think I should value.

    4.  Another one???  Hmmmm, I can't think of anything more, maybe my brain?

Maybe it's a treasured possession because I think I'm smart.  I can analyze things way better than others.  I think my thinking is advanced.  I can more or less predict what is going to happen or how things will be leaving others surprised.

    5.  What else?  I guess my bestfriends?

I think they are a nice bunch.  I have one bestfriend from college whom I really really like.  She's just one of the nicest persons ever.  No hidden agendas just a pure heart.  I lover her!

5 things you want to say to the teenage version of you

  • 5 things you want to say to the teenage version of you.

  • So what age would this be, 13-19...hmmmm, what grade/level would I have been then, 1st year highschool to 3rd year college...hmmmmm.....

    1.  It is ok

I was an 'unpopular' girl in highschool.  If I could say something to myself I would say 'it's OK.'  It doesn't matter.  Well, I need not tell this to myself because back then I think it didn't matter to me as well.

    2.  It doesn't matter whatever you are

Back in highschool, especially in the early years, I was always TRYING OUT different personalities.  If I could talk to myself then I would say 'it doesn't matter whatever you are or whatever you want to be...REALLY.'  Because it doesn't really matter.

    3.  Take your studies seriously

If I could talk to my college me I would tell myself to take my studies seriously.  Sayang kasi.  Studying is SO EASY compared to the REAL LIFE.  Sayang!

    4.  Enjoy your college years

Maybe I really have enjoyed my college years but maybe if I could talk to myself & advise myself to enjoy even more.  Now it feels like it was the best years of my life.  Maybe because I have completely let go then & I had the luxury to.  I did everything I want...tried everything I want.  Risked everything.  Didn't care about anything.  I surely miss that life & that opportunity!!!

    5.  Just enjoy

In general just enjoy your life, I guess that's what I would say.  Enjoy every experience.  Enjoy every person you meet.  Enjoy everything new you tried & just have fun :)

    Lecheng Teambuilding Fund!!!

Hay nako teambuilding na naman today.  Bwiset!!!  San ba kasi nagsimula yang lecheng teambuilding fund na yan!  As if naman gusto mong mabawasan ang free time mo or even your time to work to spend time w/ these evil alaga's.

    CBCP, Twilight, & RH Bill

Ok now isn't this the most stupid article I have ever read.  And probably by the author's own admission "People were saying, “Don’t be quick to judge. You haven’t seen it. Be fair!”  And indeed, I haven’t. Said movie remains thankfully unseen by me as well as a few friends who have their sanity and dignity intact."

    http://www.spot.ph/this-is-a-crazy-planets/52471/breaking-down/1

Ok so a lot of people actually judge w/o knowing all the details.  If you must know here is the CINEMA/CBCP review on Breaking Dawn (http://cbcpcinema.blogspot.com/2012/11/breaking-dawn-2.html).  A 3.5 out of 5 is HARDLY an endorsement.

The author, this Lourd De Veyra who?, goes on a tirade w/o even seeing the movie.  You see I am not a Twilight fan.  And I really dread seeing these Twilight movies.  But everytime they come along someone somewhere will ask me to see it w/ them & what the heck.  So I've seen this movie & that's why I understand the points brought up in the review.  If you have seen the series you will know that Bella almost died giving birth to her child, which is probably what CBCP stands for, the value of unborn life.  And if you've seen the last movie you will see how they tried to defend this child's life as well as the life of the entire family (though not all blood-related) as well as everybody else's by exhausting all imaginable ways to avoid war w/c is probably what the review was pointing out.

Ok it was probably touching on the RH bill when it came to the baby/child's life but so what?  Was CBCP hiding in any way that they are against this bill?  It is what it stands for.

I am also so tired of Catholics bashing the Catholic Church (I am not talking about the author but A LOT of other people out there).  If you do not stand for its beliefs then leave the church already please...

    What If's

    5 What If's:

    1.  What If I ended up marrying my 2nd bf?

    2.  What If I ended up taking Accountancy?

    3.  What If I had gotten pregnant in college?

    4.  What If I had met a friend's uncle 1st?

    5.  What If I never went to the derma?

Ok so thinking of 5 What If's these are the 5 that came to my mind, now the rest of the article...

What If I ended up marrying my 2nd bf?

Ok I was young then & all I wanted was love.  For some reason I was not satisfied.  I can clearly enumate then the 3 reasons why I got turned off & decided he is not the one.  Now I can barely even remember.  Ok he has his bad traits.  He was too physically or sexually agressive.  I don't know what the right term is but he was going too far too fast.  I was still trying to act like I was a virgin.  'Coz he was the type of guy who would want a virgin, at least that's his image.  I don't really know what went wrong.  Things happened so fast.  Sinagot ko sya agad...w/c I do naman w/ all of my bf's.  But I guess we really didn't know each other very well & wanted the complete opposite of who we really were at that time.  He wanted a naive, innocent, mayumi, simple, submissive, & conservative girl w/c I am totally not.  And I didn't know what I wanted.  All I wanted was to get over my ex.  Things immediately began to go sour from the start.  I hated that he wanted to balance his time between me & his friends.  I wanted us to be together ALL THE TIME.  I saw the bad boy side of him when he was pressuring me in doing more than I wanted to physically/sexually.  I can't remember what else I didn't like but I ended up resolving he is not the one...but that I'm not breaking up w/ him because I don't want to see myself crawling back to my ex who has physically assaulted me :s  So I stayed w/o any emotion till he grew tired & grew out of love.  Now why was I looking back now?  Because for society he is the perfect man.  Good looks, successful career, stable financially.  If I had met him now would I have held on?  If I was looking for a husband not just someone to fall in love with would I have held on?  I don't know honestly...

What If I ended up taking Accountancy?

Ok I did not take up accountancy but have been in that field all throughout my life.  Ok I should be honest, I probably am missing out on a LOT of job opportunities, maybe, because I am not an accounting graduate although I have been successful on this field.  Would I have been in a higher position now had I taken up Accountancy?  Probably not.

What If I had gotten pregnant in college?

Ok what if my perv 1st bf had gotten me pregnant in college?  What would my life be right now?  Ok it's icky to imagine having a child w/ him but am I really better off now childless still at 32?

    What If I had met a friend's uncle 1st?

Ok so I have this friend who was so keen on introducing me to her uncle.  She's one hell of a pretty & rich girl & her uncle is already pretty stable.  Because of my so-called RULES I didn't want to meet him on my own or even give out my #.  And now he's met someone & has proposed, all in a couple of months!  I should've been that girl!

What If I never went to the derma?

Ok then I wouldn't have all these scars on my face!

What If the World Will End Next Month?

Ok so let's have fun.  It's been awhile since I last posted here.  So I just thought...what if the world is ending next month?  What are the things I will be doing?

    1.  Stay w/ my bf.

I'll probably enjoy the rest of my time w/ him.  Lately I've been having 2nd thoughts about him (how he handles his money).  But if the world is ending I couldn't care less.  I wouldn't be afraid of ending up w/ him & supporting him the rest of my life.  I'll just enjoy the rest of my days with him.

    2.  Enjoy time w/ family & relatives.

My family/relatives are coming home this Christmas.  If they all arrive in time before the apocalypse(?!) then I would make the most of my time w/ them.  Endless buffets & touring around malls in Manila, eating a lot, that would be fun!  It's fun to finally spend the holidays not being alone!

    3.  I would resign.

If I could just get assurance that the world is ending next month then I would immediately resign (probably go on AWOL, what's the point of rendering 1 month notice if the world is ending already!).  Finally I wouldn't have to deal w/ all those little devils I'm supposed to be managing w/ heads bigger than most universes!  I wouldn't have to be plastic & near-vomit trying to be 'nice' to all these stupid & immature staffers!  Shesh!  If only I could earn as much w/o having to manage people!

    4.  I would go shopping everyday.

The hell w/ savings!  I would spend all of my money enjoying them!

    5.  I would go anywhere I've never been to.

I probably would stay in the Philippines since I don't have much time & wouldn't want to be away from my loved ones but I would go to different places everyday, what an experience that would be!

So probably it would be really nice if we REALLY KNEW when the world would end then we could ALL make the most of our remaining days!!!

    All Pyramids are Scams

    Hmmmm....

    http://www.spot.ph/the-feed/52346/politicians-among-15000-pinoys-duped-in-aman-futures-pyramid-scam

Politicians among 15,000 Pinoys duped in Aman Futures pyramid scam

    Published: Nov 15, 2012 - 12:37pm
Budget Secretary Florencio Abad has confirmed that some politicians also fell victim to a pyramid scam that duped thousands of Filipinos with a promise to double their money.

Kathleen Martin of ABS-CBNNews.com reports Abad said politicians could be held liable if it is found that they used their local government unit's share of taxes to invest in Aman Futures. Abad said the Internal Revenue Allotments for LGUs should not be used for investments. "Hindi pwedeng ilaro sa money market. Bawal na bawal po yan," the report quotes him as saying.

"Without mentioning names, merong mga naglagay. Pinag-aaralan pa nga baka merong nangapital pero wala hong kaduda-duda na merong naglagay," Abad said in a radio interview over DZMM. The Department of Justice, National Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Interior and Local Government are investigating Aman Futures, a trading firm that allegedly defrauded low-income investors of up to P12 billion.

I remember when I was being recruited for "Usana" that it was mentioned that there was this mayor who (because he's mayor) purchases Usana products consistently every month (using public funds of course) but distributes the said products to his constituents.  I don't know if that is illegal, obviously the mayor was a 'recruiter' for Usana.  I also think Usana is a scam :s

    Rappler News FAIL!

I bet the Rappler.Com employee who posted this has not even read the article.  Why else would they put a title that is different from the article???

Probably why most people voted "annoyed" w/ this report...

6 Things People Who Never Got Promoted Will Never Know

Ok I have been addicted to Cracked.com & was inspired to write my own article.  However, it turned out to be too serious to be on a comedy site.  Yet I find it really useful.  Knowing that not many people read my blog anyhow I don't feel 'selfish' enough not to post it here.  You see, these tools are very 'useful' to go up and further your career.  These are things I have learned through the years & every other manager probably already knows by heart but cannot say directly to his/her staff.  So here it goes...

6 Things People Who Never Got Promoted Will Never Know:

    1. Go against your boss & you’re doomed no matter what

Staff-level employees who have mastered their ‘technical’ work often feel they know more than their bosses.  After years of pressing the same buttons at work they feel like they are geniuses in their own right.  They feel they have earned the right to know what should be done to run the company themselves.  They feel they have earned the right to disrespect their boss because they are stupid enough to think that what they know is enough to run the company.  Less do they know that 99% of the info are confined to management.  Attend a management meeting or two & you will not see a ‘smart alec’ talking offensively against the president of the company (at least not to his face).

    1. It is harder to be a boss than to be a staff

Many staff-level employees who never get promoted feel that their ‘technical job’ is harder than anything in the world & envies their boss who ‘does nothing’ but gets paid the big bucks.  Ask anyone who’s managing people if they are willing to do staff work instead as long as it’s the same pay & 99% would feel like they’ve won the lottery.

    1. You should not be proud that you have offended someone, you should be ashamed that you do not know right from wrong

Your boss cannot entrust you to handle people if you treat every relationship at work with contempt.  You can forever tell yourself that you are just being you and that you think it is but right to voice out your opinions (and disrespect other people in the process).  You cannot manage people if you do not know the right & wrong way if interacting with them.

    4.  They have attitude problems

Most of employees who get stuck to their job level have ‘attitude problems.’  This is the very reason they never get promoted.  You see, an employee who commits errors can be coached to improve, an employee who thinks that he’s perfect will refuse to improve for the very reason he thinks he’s already perfect.  And no matter how many times their superior tells them this, from one company to another, they never listen.

    1. Their boss would fire them in a second given the chance (HR probably feels the same)

If not for the Labor code you probably wouldn’t have stayed long enough to warm your seat in every company who has mistakenly hired you.

    1. Your boss is not satisfied with your performance

Managers are trained how to say things in a nice way so even if you’re a complete idiot, psychotic, or the worst human being in the world you end every one-on-one session feeling like you have some kind of value.  That is just how things are played.

    Republican Vs. Democrat

Ok so since Obama winning again has been really mind-boggling to me I tried to surf more WHY AMERICA CHOSE HIM.  There are a lot of articles right now & somehow I kinda understand why.

Let's say I'm A CHILD & I can VOTE who my parent will be:

    Facebook is Down

Facebook has been down for several days now.  At least here in Makati, Philippines.  I don't know in other places, quite surprised there's no news on the net about it.  It's not really completely down but every now & then when you click something "Internet Explorer cannot display the page."  I don't know if Facebook itself is aware.  I read an article at Time.com that the group Anonymous was targetting to take it down last Nov. 5.  I guess they somehow succeeded w/ Facebook doing nothing to resolve it.

The World is Lauging at You (America...not Trump)

I couldn't agree w/ Trump more, here is a 'biased' article of SheKnows site.

    http://www.sheknows.com/entertainment/articles/976203/donald-trumps-obama-induced-meltdown-on-twitter

"The world is laughing at us" --- oh yes we are!  Too bad for you America!  And I thought Filipino voters were stupid...

"Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble...like never before." --- what country?  America will be out of the map soon (ok not literally), but will not be one of the world's powers pretty long, what can you do if you have stupid voters???

"Hopefully the House of Representatives can hold our country together for four more years...stay strong and never give up!" --- ok at least Trump is still a little bit more hopeful...

    US is Going Down...

Now that Obama has won again I can start preparing to forget about US, they're probably going down the drain...so what is the country to watch out for?  Is it UK?  We have all been used to following Hollywood stars, movies, series...I hope another country will now rise on these areas now that the US is going down...

    Obama Won

So Obama won...such a sad day for the US, this marks another 4 years of going down the drain, where will America be right after?

Kristen Stewart's New Target: Justin Theroux

    Check out this story:  http://perezhilton.com/2012-10-17-kristen-stewar-affair-jennifer-aniston-fiance-justin-theroux-john-krasinski-emmy-party-call-me-maybe

Yay!  I don't even know if Perez is credible.  Ain't this gonna make Kristen even more hated by the public.  Everyone's celebrating Aniston's engagement & now this???

Tumblr Challenge #2: 5 things you want to do before you die

Ok now I'm on Tumblr Challenge #2...

  • 5 things you want to do before you die.

  • 1.  Get married

Of course I want to get married.  I am saying this now because I have found the man I want to marry.  It's ironic now I can't even imagine why I never wanted to get married before.  I was in an 8-year relationship & I didn't want to marry my ex.

    2.  Have kids.

Ok I NEVER wanted kids before but now that I've met someone I want to marry & have babies w/ hahaha!  So this is definitely something I'd want to do before I die...

    3.  Buy a huge & beautiful house that is not that far from civilization

This is something I would want to do before I die together w/ my husband.  I want it to be huge, not a condo unit.  I want it to have nice interiors done by an interior designer.  And I want it near not in Laguna or Antipolo & not even in Alabang or in Sucat.  Maybe in Taguig, Pasig, if we can afford, in Makati?

    4.  Have a successful business.

I haven't even started yet but I want to have a successful & stable business.

    5.  Become a general manager.

Yes I want to be the president of a multi-national company here in the Philippines.

Tumblr Challenge 1: 5 Songs on Ipod

  • Put your ipod on shuffle and write something about the first five songs that play.

  • Ok so here's my Tumblr Challenge #1.  Since I don't have my ipod w/ me right now but I still feel like writing I will just try to remember the 1st 5 songs on the latest playlist I created...

    1.  Payphone by Jayesslee

Yes I'm not so into the Maroon 5 original but when I heard this wow...they are also cute on the video (not sure if there are many...I only saw one).  It's through this song that I discovered this duo.

    2.  Brighter than the Sun by Colbie Caillat

This is a good song after the Payphone acoustic version.

    3.  Brighter than the Sun by Katharine Mcphee (Smash)

Ok I must admit it was through this song that I learned about Colbie's song in the 1st place.  I saw this video as commercial for Smash & I loved it.

    4.  Starships by Mike Tompkins & Pitch Perfect Cast

Ok I'm not sure if this is really the next song on my playlist but it seems to be.  I learned about this version by watching one Hollywood Showbiz News show (forgot w/c one).  And I must admit I learned to love Mike Tompkins' songs thereafter.

    5.  We Are Young by Fun

Ok I also learned about the title of this song while surfing in relation to above about Mike Tompkins.  He has his own version w/c I also have on my playlist.  But I think Fun's version is the next song on mine.  I have heard the song before but it was only recently that I learned what the title is.  The song makes me really happy because of the tune though the lyrics are somewhat negative.

Ok challenge 1 completed!  Kinda... :)

I've read this somewhere in Tumblr, something called the Tumblr Challenge...well basically the challenge is to blog about all of below topics...

    Romney Won the 2nd Debate

Ok so I'm bored again & browsing the net, good thing I opened this new good site I found (sheknows.com) & saw a headline on the 2nd presidential debate in the US.  I was kinda waiting for this.  I don't like watching videos much so I googled transcripts just so I can read a 'fair' news/info.  Unfortunately the links to the transcripts took very long to open so I just googled '2nd presidential debate.'  I was scrolling down & can only find one CREDIBLE site...yahoo...so here it goes:  http://news.yahoo.com/highlights-2nd-presidential-debate-034614418--election.html

As I was reading through the article I was kinda wondering why NOTHING was mentioned about Romney & it was ALL ABOUT OBAMA.  Afterwards, reading the comments, probably 90+% gave the same opinion, Romney WON the debate.  The article was so BIAS.  We should turn to Fox news...

The Americans' eyes are wide open.  They are not as vapid as Filipinos.  Obama was able to FOOL them for a couple of years but seems like it's gonna be OVER soon.  Let's see, I don't know what will be good for the Philippines & Filipinos anyway...

    Brad Pitt's Mom Loves Jen!

Ok it's been awhile since I last posted.  I guess coz I've been surprisingly happy lately I didn't want to rant hehehe...anyway there's this news I just read & I'm wondering if it's true...http://perezhilton.com/2012-10-15-jennifer-aniston-jane-pitt-justin-theroux-wedding-invite-brad-pitt-unwelcome-same-sex-marriage/

I can't find any other credible media outlet online that reported it.  Probably just Yahoo Canada but they quoted it as something coming from the UK Sun...

Anyway if this is true then wouldn't it be nice.  I don't know Jen personally but she seems to be the kind of gal a mother-in-law would love...even up to this day.  I don't see myself as that type of girl although I LOOK like one.  I've never been the type na 'machika' or 'maeffort makisama.'  Deadma lang ako and I don't like doing things w/o a clear purpose hehehe...that is why I'm surprised it seems that my bf's mom likes me.  The last time we talked she gave me advise about coping w/ my bf's constant 'business' (as I've mentioned before he is an MD).  She said she was like me before always getting disappointed pag d natutuloy ang lakad or laging late ang bf ko but she got used to it.  She said if I want our relationship to last I should try to understand his situation more, galeng diba?  Wala lang :P

    Bawal nang Mag-Isip...

Ok so I still can't get over the new CyberCrime Law in the Philippines.  I kept thinking about the posts/comments w/c are now considered libel & criminal.  Here are some examples:

    1.  Epal Watch - it is libel because it defames the politicians/gov't officials who are subjects of the pictures/comments, so if you are an ordinary person like me, STOP commenting how epal these politicians are, this is no matter if PNoy himself have instructed these politicians to remove their EPAL posters, PNoy did not mention it is right for netizens to criticize them...

    2.  Kotong Watch - it is libel because it defames the traffic enforcers & MMDA officials & the PNP, it defames them when ordinary people expose their 'pangongotong', so everyone please stop reporting all the 'kotong' incidents you have encountered on websites/comments, this is libelous now in the new martial law

    3.  Sample FB Posts

- this is libelous, you are defaming Meralco, please do not say anything BAD about anyone or any institution ok?

- this is libelous because you are destroying Globe's reputation

Hay bwisit ung pulis kanina sa XXX hinuli ako wala naman akong ginawa...manghihingi lang pala ng pangmeryenda - this is again libelous please do not say ANYTHING NEGA about anyone ok?

- need I say more?

    4.  Sample Comments

Article of Tulfo about perfectly fine roads being reconstructed in the province so 'officials' can get their kickback, comment on article:  Sir Tulfo ganyan din po dito sa barangay namin sa Makati, may nakapastel pa nga na mukha ni Binay eh, paulit-ulit lang din ang pagsira at pagreconstruct ng mga kalye - teh gusto mu makulong?

Article about supposed plagiarism of Tito Sotto, comment on article:  Anu ba yang senador na yan nakakahiya!  Parang walang pinag-aralan - eh kaya nga ininsert ang libel prov diba?

Article against CyberCrime Law, comment on article:  Ano bang mga senador yan ung RH bill hindi maipasa-pasa tapos ito biglang iaaprove parang mga di lang nagiisip - teh ikaw ang bawal na magisip starting today ok?

    CyberCrime Law...More Info...

    I saw this post:  http://tarayquinn.tumblr.com/post/32864915800/good-points-from-atty-lezel-de-villa-on-cybercrime-law#notes

For those who are saying that Sen. Sotto deliberately inserted the internet libel to avoid online criticisms.

    HERE are the facts:

    1. The senate journal would clearly show that Sen. Sotto’s proposal to include libel in the cybercrime law was made prior to his turno-en-contra speech on the RH bill.

    2. During the period of interpellation, Sen. Sotto asked Sen. Angara if libel is included in the proposed Cybercrime bill. The senate journal dated December 12, 2011 would confirm that Sen. Angara’s response was in the affirmative. Meaning, even without the individual amendment of Sen. Sotto, internet libel was already included in the proposed bill.

(“Asked by Senator Sotto if the bill also addresses internet libel or internet defamation, Senator Angara stated that the bill includes it as a crime, an actionable offense, because one can be defamed through Twitter or social media”. source: Senate Journal Dec. 12, 2011)

    3. The same senate journal would also prove that Sen. Sotto’s rationale for asking the inclusion of internet libel does not have anything to do with his personal experience on cyber bullying which happened only in August and September of 2012.

(“Referring to the case of actress Rhian Ramos, who claimed that someone maliciously distributed information about her through the You Tube, Senator Angara believed that it is an actionable offense under the bill and the PNP and NBI would monitor and investigate it”. Source: Senate Journal Dec. 12, 2011)

    4. It can also be noted that not even a single senator then present stood up to question the inclusion of internet libel. Not even Sen. Escudero and Sen. Pia Cayetano who were then present objected thereto.

    5. During the period of individual amendment, Sen. Sotto proposed to provide the wordings for the crime of internet libel in the bill which Sen. Angara accepted. Again, no objection was made by any Senators then present. Among those who were present were Sen. Pia Cayetano and Sen. Escudero.

    6. The inclusion of libel, as manifested by the senate journal dated January 24, 2012 was made to address the numerous abuses in technology, particularly the malicious video and photo uploading and unnecessary and libelous write-ups and comments in social networking sites.

    7. The inclusion of internet libel was not hastily made. It was not a “midnight” insertion. It went through the appropriate parliamentary procedure. It was discussed during the period of debates.

I don't know coz as per my googling this lawyer seems to be part of Tito Sotto's staff.  Plus I appreciate Chiz & Pia now that they have admitted to their mistake & working towards revising the libel provision.  It's also now that I learned that Pia is actively addressing the 'people's' concerns through her twitter account.  Thumbs up to her that we have someone we can actually reach when we have concerns about the country.  Plus several official media outlets report that Tito Sotto himself admitted he was responsible for inserting the libel provision on this law (I also remember reading somewhere that there were 2 senators who inserted this provision, not just Sotto, I'm so curious who the other one is).

What's In My Bag --- A Wholesome Post

Ok since a lot of people have actually written articles or have done segments on tv that goes something like "what's in bag" I thought I'd do one myself.  I will actually literally open my bag now & see what's in there, hehe!  Ok, let's start w/ the things I have taken out of my bag already:

    1.  Organizer Notebook

Yes, I have this organizer notebook, I don't use my phone or some other gadget because I honestly believe that technology causes my vertigo...somehow hahaha!  So I'd rather write down here everything that I need to do as well as daily reminders to myself, accounting of daily cash, etc..

    2.  Eyeglasses

Yes I wear glasses when I need to, like when I use the pc...watch tv, etc..  I was told by the doctor it's not really needed since the grade is really low but again, I get dizzy if I don't use it.

    3.  Fan

Yes I have a fan in my bag.  You'll never know when it's too hot...and I don't want to trigger my allergies...

    4.  Pen

Yes I have a pen.  If I remember something I make sure I write it down on my organizer...well this doesn't happen often...I remember a lot of things but am too lazy to write them down hehe!

    5.  Transponder

Yes I have a parking slot so I have to have my transponder...

    6.  Facial tissue

I am always ready if I have to do a #2.  I had constipation before & I am not stopping myself if I have to do it anywhere, besides, it's good for emergency purposes.  Plus I make use of it a lot of times if the toilet bowl is dirty, no need to buy a toilet seat paper...

    7.  Wet tissue

Of course if I have to do a #2 I have to have this to clean myself up hehe!

    8.  Wallet

    No need to explain that

    9.  Powder/Foundation/Makeup

Depends on what I decided I needed for the day for retouch.  Minimum is at least bring my baby powder :)

    10.  Hanky

Yes I still use a hanky or maybe I don't really use it that much, I dunno but I still have them everyday :)

    11.  Phone

Of course I have my phone...

    12.  Medicine kit

Yes I have a small medicine kit or box or whatever that is.  Inside I have biogesic, nexium & dulcolax hehehe!

    13.  Comb

    Of course!

    14.  Medicines that I need

Ok right now I'm taking meds for acid reflux till this gets completely fixed

Well that is all I have in my bag, aren't I a simple lady...

So this is how blogging will be since the Cyber Law...

Cellphone Covered by New CyberCrime Law?

Wow!  So even cellphones are covered by the new CyberCrime Law?

    http://www.tribune.net.ph/index.php/metro-section/item/5313-cybercrime-law-also-a-threat-to-cellphone-users-—-solon

“This means if I text my friends that a certain candidate is a ‘cheap, second-rate, trying hard copycat,’ that person can haul me to court for violating the Cybercrime law and have me locked up for 10 years,” he said.

“True, the case may eventually be dismissed but the mere possibility that one can be charged for online libel is enough to silence ordinary people and stop them from expressing critical ideas,” Casiño added.

    Cybercrime Law on Tumbler

Wow, seems like all the posts on tumbler re the Cybercrime Law are witty or wittingly funny...

    Enjoy the read...

Philippine Cybercrime Law News now global...

It seems like the global media has already catched up on the latest news on Philippine shores.  Check out below links.

    http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/04/world/asia/philippines-cyber-law-protest/index.html

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-19810474

    http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/10/03/media-groups-protest-tough-cyber-law-in-philippines/

    http://sg.news.yahoo.com/protests-philippine-cybercrime-law-takes-effect-113649978.html

CNN's report has a major mistake saying the law was postponed pending a restraining order.

Good news is that we weren't depicted as laughingstock of the world w/ this new law.  The global media still found the KFC cheese top burger still more laughable (this is still, apparently, being sold).

Nicole Scherzinger...I hope I spelled that right...

Check out this article w/c I think is already so passe...

    http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/nicole-scherzinger-i-sang-95-percent-of-pussycat-dolls-songs-on-my-own-2012410

Ok this is no surprise, we know the others are just back up singers, or just dancers even.  But here's more:

"I hope I don't get in trouble for the stuff that I say," Scherzinger says, "but I'll never forget I finished the album, PCD, and Ron and I brought the girls into the studio and we played it for them. It was the first time they'd ever heard the music."
"Do you understand what I'm saying? We played the album for the Pussycat Dolls," she says. "It was the first time they'd ever heard the songs."

I don't think Nicole is gonna get into any trouble because she just said what the whole world already knows...and she said it a decade after the fact...now another PCD girl might react just because she has no career anymore & wants to get some fame of her own...But what Nicole said was also surprising, it's like, she recorded the entire album herself & then after, it was played for the rest of the dolls hahaha.  Glad she didn't complain before...well, she got all the attention & carried the PCD name on her own anyway :)

Bieber's Mom wants SOME Publicity of Her Own...

Sorry my reaction is delayed but after reading about Justin Bieber's mom dating the host of the Bachelor I have to finally ask this out loud "Why does Justin Biber's mom HAVE to write a tell-all book???"

Justin Bieber is STILL at the height of his career.  Was his mom THIS SELFISH that she also wants some ATTENTION for herself???

Most People would support the Rihanna-Chris Brown 'Balikan'

Saw this poll on US Magazine's website...

To be honest...and I'm not trying to be a good role model here, I didn't know if I would say yes or no but I'm really surprised to see the results.  Most people would support this reunion!  Honestly I thought Rihanna & Chris were the 'it' couple back then.  They both have really successful careers & both are really talented.  They were 'perfect' for each other.  And after what happened, to be honest, I had so much compassion for Brown.  He was my crush.  I didn't think (was I thinking?) he deserved to be treated that way & lose his career because of that (oh maybe I wasn't thinking!).  But until now I don't know.  Well, good for me, when my 1st boyfried beat me up, my feelings for him suddenly went away big time.  After that I didn't feel comfortable being hugged or touched by him so the relationship went downhill...which was good for me...I'm just so lucky I have THAT kind of reaction when someone beats me up!

    Tito Sotto...Lol!

Bwahahahaha!  Tito Sotto is moving to scrap the libel provisions on the CyberCrime Law para daw pde na rin sya makipagmurahan sa mga critics nya...hahaha!  Only in the Philippines!!!

    http://www.spot.ph/the-feed/52065/sen-tito-sotto-says-hell-make-moves-to-scap-libel-law-entirely-so-he-can-engage-in-mudslinging-vs-his-critics

Kidding aside, I remember a friend who mentioned that right after Tito Sotto lost in an election years ago he bought an Audi the very next day & he looked very happy.  This friend mentioned that some people file for candidacy just to 'earn' from campaign donations...

    Chiz Signs w/o Reading!

Naloka ako, sorry daw sabi ni Chiz, namiss daw nya ung libel clause sa Cyber Martial Law...

    My Gratitude List

I have read somewhere that gratitude makes you a happier person.  Well that's really not something new.  We've heard that several times in the past.  I think Oprah is one of the advocates of that as well.  Recently my bf had raised that issue w/ me as well.  That I never thank him.  That he feels like I feel it's his obligation to do things for me.  He told me I should thank people more & it helps you.  Anyway, I just thought that as a post today I would write my own 'gratitude list,' the list of things I'm grateful for in my life.  So let's start...

    1.  I'm pretty

I should be thankful that I'm pretty.  I don't need to put in much effort & I look better than most people.  I also look rich & classy w/o even trying.

    2.  I'm earning at least 100k a month (net)

It may be regular for my contemporaries who worked in the same huge (if not the biggest) multinational company wherein I had my 1st job.  I mean we are all managers.  But I guess managers from other companies are not earning this much.

    3.  I have a car

Ok it beats having to suffer commuting.  Which I never do & never did anyway.

    4.  I can drive

Ok, if needed, I can always drive myself.

    5.  Considerate neighbor

I just realized that my front-door neighbor is considerate enough not to block my driveway (anyway it's their fault they buy so many cars w/o buying enough parking space)

    6.  I have household help

Ok that is not unusual in the 3rd world country that I live in but having tried out living alone on my own w/o a maid...I am grateful!

    7.  I have dependable parents

Considering they are based abroad they are always w/in reach & would react immediately if ever I needed anything.  I even rely on them on things I should really be handling on my own.

    8.  Responsible brother

I only have one sibling & I sure am glad he is responsible.  I don't have to deal w/ a 'parasite' sibling.  We are both responsible & financially independent.  I guess I should be glad our parents brought us up that way.

    9.  Loving & mature bf

I have an MD bf who is responsible, way more mature than me even when he's younger than me!  He tells me when I act or behave in a way he doesn't like or offends him.  He's definitely making this relationship work.  And he makes me happy :)

    10.  My bf's family

They have been very accepting & I feel that I truly belong.  I feel their support as if I'm part of their family already.  My bf's mum even gave me advise over the weekend on how to understand MD's more so that our relationship can last.

    11.  My job

I guess I should be happy about my job.  My current boss is very lax.  We are given freedom to perform.  I just feel comfortable here like I couldn't ask for more.  But of course I would strive for a bigger salary...duh!

    12.  Laws in the Philippines

I guess laws are not really followed here in the Philippines.  I know that's really a bad thing but I'm writing a gratitude list!  So I will write what I like about it.  I like that if you make a mistake you can just pay off the police, just like 99% of the citizens do for traffic indiscretions.  I guess here you can make everything go away --- and I am looking at how that is good for myself right now.  I know it can turn our to be really really bad :s

    13.  The current president

I so hated Pnoy before the elections & during the start of his term.  But I will admit things are getting better.  The government offices are looking more decent now & also a little more efficient.  The economy is growing (I thought it was only GMA who could do that).  I see Filipinos getting inspired by his leadership so I guess this is something I should appreciate noh?

    14.  Not much corrupt politicians

Ok I know there's a lot.  I even tried to create a collage of their pictures.  Fortunately I can't think of much corrupt politicians that this is the only one I came up with.

Ok I'm not just including corrupt politicians but also the 'useless' ones.

    15.  My staff

I guess I'm happy now w/ my staff.  After the evil one left things have been better.  More positive atmosphere & interaction w/ each other.

    16.  Colleagues I have lunch with

I guess I've learned to enjoy our talks more over lunch & their company.  It's not just anymore, we have no choice & no other people to have lunch with.

    17.  My gastritis/hyperacidity

Ok, because of this I can't eat much & lost so much weight, so I can see how it's a good thing :)

    18.  My latest lab results

Honestly I thought I was dying w/ an agressive form of cancer, good thing I was cleared :)

    19.  My dogs

They reduce stress & bring some happiness to my home :)

    20.  The internet

    Something to do

Ok that is a lot, I am TOO happy now hehe!  Till next time ;)

    Erap has Sense...

    I'm liking Erap's statements more & more.

    http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/274258/estrada-to-trillanes-youre-ungrateful-crazy

It seems like there's more sense to this man than I thought.  In the past I have read statements from him commenting that GMA should be allowed to seek medical assistance abroad since he was allowed to do the same.  I have also read articles wherein he has forgiven Chavit, etc..  I don't know if he's paying the Inquirer big-time to release all these positive statements about him but it seems to show that he is a good man(?)  I remember in the last presidential elections that I learned that one of my friends actually voted for him (a friend, not the company security guard, not the katulongs).  This friend has met Erap personally.  She is from a political family & was on Erap's party.  She said she voted for Erap because she can sincerely see that he is a good man.  And that she did not vote for Binay as VP even when they are in the same party.  Oh well...

    Baby/Kid-Hater

Wow isn't this a good idea!

    http://www.spot.ph/the-feed/52015/airasia-offers-child-free-areas-in-long-haul-flights

Now can we have child-free restaurants next?

    Kelsey Grammer = Douche Bag

Kelsey Grammer is so annoying (http://www.dramarama.ca/2012/09/camille-asks-kelsey-to-kindly-shut-his-trap.html#more)!  Now usually the cheap one would be the one who would choose to be in a reality show, like Camille in Real Housewives.  But this scenario is so the opposite of reality.  Usually it is the woman who can't stop talking about how her ex is a douche-bag...and we kind of understand that, especially if the relationship ended because of the man's fault.  But in this case, Kelsey is the one who cheated.  All you cheaters out there, saying 'it hasn't been working for a long time' is not an excuse for your douchy behavior!  What you should do if it is not working is either make it work or end it before 'cheating'!  Wow!  Kelsey is in a world of his own where he's the one bitter & scorned when he is the cheater.  And he's trying so hard to place his current 'homewrecker' wife up on a pedestal she doesn't belong in!

    Trillanes & His Attitude Problem

    What else is new?

    http://www.spot.ph/the-feed/51980/sen-gringo-honasan-slams-allegations-that-the-pma-doesnt-mold-people-well-he-presents-himself-and-sen-ping-lacson-as-good-examples

Everyone knows Trillanes has an attitude problem & a big brat.  How else would you call someone who will threaten to bomb Glorietta just because he's frustrated w/ the organization he belongs in?  The bad thing is that stupid Filipinos voted for him & further molded his immaturity.

    Good joke Gringo!

    Demolition at Guatemala St., Makati

Kudos to Binay this time!  Just saw on the news the demolition at Guatemala St. in Makati.  This time Binay did good.  Let's do our best to clean up our sewerage system to avoid extreme flooding.  May other cities follow to do what is good & right for everyone instead of just thinking about how to please the squatters for election purposes...

Mamie Gummer as Emily Owens MD

I am so curious about the new show 'Emily Owens, MD.'  Not only because I have been exposed to the medical world having an MD bf but also because namukhaan ko ang lead star.  She is this supposedly 'Legally Blonde' lawyer on The Good Wife.  Someone who looked really stupid but is obviously just being manipulative & turned out to be really, really good!  I was kinda surprised that considering how soft her voice is, she became an actress.  Only later to find out that she is actually the daughter of Meryll Streep...they probably have the same voice.

Also, googling about Meryll Streep I was also surprised that she is still married to Mamie Gummer's dad.  And before then she was living w/ someone until that man's death.  Sometimes Hollywood can still surprise you.  I didn't expect this from Meryll Streep.  Of course I would expect numerous marriages & divorces & that Mamie would only be, like, one of her daughters from one of her men whom she doesn't get much in contact with.  I'm also surprised & happy to find out that Mamie's husband is Ben Walker!  He's just so cute & his movie 'Abraham Lincoln:  Vampire Hunter' was surprisingly good!

A lot of surprises today! ;)

    Kate Middleton is Stupid

    I couldn't agree more...

Mas Maganda pa ko kay Georgina!!!

In fairness...ang pangit ni Georgina pag walang makeup ha!  Mas maganda pa ko sa knya!  Parang lola ko lang...

It's More Fun in the Philippines...weh?

What is wrong w/ what this guy said?

    http://www.spot.ph/newsfeatures/50689/expats-20-reasons-why-i-dislike-ph-youtube-video-sparks-online-debate

    http://mb.com.ph/node/354959/american-apologize

Sa totoo lang NAPAKARAMI pang dahilan to hate the Philippines.  Isa-isahin nga natin:

Ganito ka-3rd-world dito!

    8.  Iskwater. It's more fun in the Philippines!

    No To RH Bill!

Now this is proof that most Filipinos oppose the RH Bill.  Just read the comments section.

    http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/265566/senate-nears-compromise-bill-on-rh-scraps-sections-on-abortion-contraceptives

Now this is not just about trying to mock Sotto, these people are expressing their opinions...even if behind anonymous names.  Because in this twisted world we live in today, you will be mocked if you oppose what is not uso (RH Bill, Same Sex Marriage).  Now it is more shameful to still stand by what is right.

    http://www.intouchweekly.com/stars/news/mileys-wedding-hold

I really found Miley so lucky that she can downward spiral, she's ugly & not exactly a girlfriend or fiance to be proud of but Liam is holding on to her...but probably not for long!  Miley, straighten up your act.  Get over all this shit (slutty clothes, chopping off your hair, handing out scandalous comments to the media) & be a good girl for Liam...you are so lucky girl...marry him now!  Shesh!

    Evident Corruption in the Streets

I read this article written by Mon Tulfo himself about perfectly fine roads being reconstructed in Misamis Oriental in order for those 'in power' to get 'kickbacks.'

    http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/160411/telecoms-firm-gyps-its-subscribers

Unfortunately the comments section is already closed.  I wanted to point out that the same thing happened recently in C5 Taguig.  Roads were perfectly fine but were reconstructed.  This caused recurring traffics during construction not to mention the aftermath now wherein the new roads do not have any lines at all.  This can cause more accidents.

If you want to see more of this you don't need to look further than Brgy. Pio Del Pilar in Makati.  This is the barangay enclosed by Pasong Tamo, Buendia, South Super Highway, & Pasay Road.  Citizens who drive daily to & from Makati may be familiar w/ this area as this is mostly used as sidestreets to avoid traffic.  Unfortunately this is also mostly used by Binay as 'kickback' area where roads are constantly reconstructed time & again.

P.S. --- shouldn't Mayor Lani Cayetano of Taguig spend more money in keeping C5 Taguig safe?  Everyone knows this major road is being avoided late at night or early morning because of known hold-ups by squatters around the area (Warning to the Public:  Do not stop if you get stoned/egged or notice a flat tire while driving along this road)

It Should Not be OK to Mock People for their Conservative Positions!

This is what Lucy said regarding the taunts about the RH Bill ***Click to Enlarge***  I completely agree.  Why is it that in this age & time it is ok to call anti-RH Bill people as 'stupid'?  Can't these people have their own opinion?  Why are they openly mocked by society???  Where is the freedom of speech then?  Why is it ok & acceptable that pro-RH Bill people openly call them stupid?  What if I call you stupid to believe that RH Bill can cure poverty when we all know a person is poor because of his own doing???  Why are you forcing everyone to pay more taxes to pay for these irresponsible people's condoms???

The same happens in the US when someone openly rejects same-sex marriage...why?  Can't people have their own opinion about what marriage should be?

    Where has this world come?!!
